at the library building either in the basement or crowded into the meeting room upstairs. A horse or tractor drawn wagon had been used to carry people from festivities in town out to the sale.
Last year, the sale was moved back to the former library which now serves as the Town Hall. The lovely building is closer to the 4th of July crowds and more accessible than the basement of the library.
All proceeds from FOL book sales are used for the purchase of new books. Donations are tax deductible. The Friends accept new and used books, musical instruments, recent magazines and related media materials such as videos, cassettes, CDs and useable computer programs.
