Joseph Nicholson

Born in Madison

Joseph Upton Nicholson, 60, of Amissville died on Aug. 5 at Mt. View Nursing Home in Aroda.

He was born in Madison County on Nov. 24, 1937.

He was retired from landscaping.

His father was the late Clarence Rosson Nicholson.

Survivors include his mother Jessie Nicholson Corbin; his wife Ella Corbin Nicholson of Amissville; three sons James Nicholson of Eggbornsville, Tony Nicholson of Warrenton and Joey Nicholson of Amissville; two daughters Dale Wormly of Madison and Bonnie Bumgardner of Amissville; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers Edward Corbin of Culpeper, Linwood Corbin of Mitchells, Johnnie Corbin of Brandy Station, and Danny Corbin of Madison and one sister Anna Pearl Deavers of Front Royal.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at CloreGeest Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Shifflet officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Wormley, Robert Corbin, William Corbin, Everett Corbin, Aubrey Braxton, and Eugene Kilby.
