To complement these special meetings and briefings Paratore participated in a number of leadership skillbuilding activities. In one activity, If I Were President, students role-played being the President, members of the Cabinet and representatives from Capital Hill who had to respond to an international crisis. The conference culminated with the “Model Congress,” in which scholars assumed the of United States Representatives by debating, amending and voting on proposed legislation.
