guilty to grand larceny last week in circuit court. She now awaits sentencing on Aug. 20.
Brisbane was charged with grand larceny after stealing property belonging to Charles Richter of Rappahannock. The theft occurred between June 1 and July 7, 1997. Brisbane allegedly took a Dynamark 12 hp riding mower, Wagner Produty Power Painter, Slilsaw Model 5150 and an Optimus AM/FM stereo cassette/CD player from Richter’s residence, the value of which exceeded $200.
A capias was issued for Brisbane and she was arrested on Oct. 18, ‘97, after police from Wintergreen notified the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office that they had recovered the riding mower, paint sprayer and weed eater. The serial numbers and model numbers matched those of the items stolen from Richter.
Brisbane was indicted on Jan. 12, declined bond and was remanded to the custody of the sheriff.
