Troop No. 50, Amissville, under the leadership of Clarence Dodson. Bible School at the Chester Gap Baptist Church will commence Monday, Aug. 20 and will be held nightly from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 24. All interested children are invited to attend. Dr. Raleigh O. Baker of the Virginia Baptist Home, Culpeper will conduct the 11 a.m. worship service Sept. 2 at Washington Baptist Church. The Sunday School of Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville is sponsoring a trip to Marshall Hall on Saturday, Aug. 25. There will be a cost of $6.50 per person.

The Arabian Horse Summer Festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 9:30 a.m. at Frying Pan Park on West Ox Road between Chantilly and Herndon. This festival will give everyone a chance to talk with the owners of these delightful animals. There will be a $5 charge for adults and lunch and snacks will be sold at the areas provided.
