The Smithsonian at Little Washington opens its seventh season of chamber music performances at The Theatre with a musical “mini-festival” covering the weekend of Oct. 10 and 11. The Axelrod String Quartet performs music of Haydn and Brahms on Saturday evening Oct. 10. On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 11, the Smithsonian Chamber Players continue their “Brilliance of the Baroque” series, which proved so popular at The Theatre last season. Six members of the chamber players, several of them long-standing favorites of The Theatre’s audience, will perform works by Telemann, Rameau, Couperin and Bach.
