While his peers were enjoying their time off from school this summer, Tony Payne spent most of his studying engineering and math at Old Dominion University in Norfolk.
Payne, who had always excelled at mathematics, has been selected by the John Hopkins Math and. Verbal Talent Search each year since fifth grade. He has placed higher than the average college-bound senior on SATI. When information came from Johns Hopkins about the ODU program he applied and was accepted.
