RoughRide benefits all,
county history involves everyone
In the next several weeks, two important events
are planned in the county. On Sept. 19, the annual
Rappahannock RoughRide will take place. The RoughRide benefits the Fauquier Free Clinic, a nonprofit volunteer organization which provides primary health care and dental services to individuals and families in Rappahannock and Fauquier counties. It provide $4 worth of health services for every $1 raised and the doctors, nurses, phai^nacist, dentists and administrative personnel volunteer their time. It also offers free van service from Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Va.
This is truly an organization and event worthy of. support and there is still time to get involved. If you can’t participate in the event itself, you can support the clinic.

The other event, in which everyone has reason to be involved, is the Woodville Bicentennial Parade and Festival set for Sept. 26. This event affects everyone in the county and surrounding counties since it celebrates the history of the area back to 1798. Already over 75 participants have signed up for the parade and Senator Kevin Miller and Delegate Jay Katzen have responded and plan to be there.
