Eugene Marshall Dodson, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Hawksbill Rest Home in Luray.
He was born July 24, 1915 to the late Ernest George Dodson and Neva Nicholson Dodson.
Mr. Dodson was the operator and manger of the business formerly known as Gene & Dot’s Restaurant at Clevengers.
He is survived by two sons Gene Dodson and Ron Dodson, both of Viewtown and four daughters Sherlean Wayland, Joyce Wilson, Gloria Switzer and Janet Hitt, all of Viewtown.
Additional survivors include two brothers Acrey Dodson of Amissville and Milton Dodson of Grand Junction, ■ Col.; four sisters Mae Settle of Culpeper, Bertie Hackley, Mattie Hackley and Florine Smith, all of Amissville, 20 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Belle Bawkey Dodson; one son Clarence “Boosie” Dodson; two brothers Jack Dodson and Thomas Dodson and three sisters Neta Scott, Nellie Nicholson and Gladys Mozingo.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 16 at Gourdvine Baptist Church in Rixeyville with the Rev. John Miller and Rev. Milton Switzer Sr. officiating.
Interment followed at Gourdvine Baptist Church Cemetery.
Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.

Peggy Rosenberger Bowen, 74, of Amissville died Saturday, Jan. 16 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was bom Oct. 15, 1924 to the late Frank Lee Rosenberger Sr. and Grace Parr Rosenberger Curtis.
