monthly council meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 for towncounty boundary adjustments of two and possibly three properties.
• The council approved the boundary adjustment with The Inn.
• Willis said the new water-bill policy was considered unfair to landlords. The council voted to delay the policy so it could studied.
• Willis gave the council members a packet of information from the health department. He asked them to read it and to come next month prepared with ideas about what to do if a water shortage occurred.
• Council members Tompkins and Alice King agreed to Mayor Willis’ request to help the Jenkins ladies look into the history of the misplaced or lost timecapsule plaque to try to determine its wording.
• The council voted 6-0, with Lynch not voting, to have Viguerie form a committee to look into any problems that could possibly result from any Y2K glitches. John Byam and Teri Sullivan agreed to serve with her.
• At the request of Tompkins, the council went into executive session to discuss the purchase of real estate for the Wastewater Study Committee. No action was taken.
