chosen to appear in the Academic Spotlight for this week. Congratulations to Navy Ensign Peter Heffem of Reva way, who has graduated from Basic Civil Engineer Corps Officer School. He has a BS degree from the U.S. Naval Academy of Annapolis, Md. and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heffem. Our prayers for a speedy recovery are for Mrs. Ann Marie Hetzer of Our Farm who has been ill. The monthly singing and picking party to kick off the New Year will be held on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at Salem fire hall on Route 522. Food is always available and residents are urged to come out and enjoy the party • which also includes a time of good fellowship A while supporting the department. On Thursday evening the Reva Volunteer Fire and Rescue will have their general membership monthly meeting at Bethel Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Call 547-3747 for more information. A reminder to area residents that the Castleton Fire Department has bingo each Saturday beginning at 7 p.m.
