The marriage of Miss Lauren Ashley Settle, daughter of Mrs. Mark P. Baker of Rapidan and William E. Settle Jr. of Culpeper to Charles Alan Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Brown of Flint Hill took place on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church.

The Rev. John S. Farrar performed the double ring ceremony.

Mrs. Catherine Beale, organist, played the wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Bunny Kinzer who sang “What Love Is” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Escorted by her father, the bride was given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of candlelight Italian silk satin with a fitted bodice of pearls featuring a square neckline. The full floor length skirt and attached train were bordered with matching pearls and lace.

She wore a porcelain and pearl headpiece with a double tier veil and carried a bouquet of ivory roses and baby’s breath.

Miss Brittany Kaplon of Marietta, Ga., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.

The bridesmaids were Miss Laura Brown of Middleburg, sister of the groom and Miss Jennifer Bly
