was Rappahannock’s eighth annual celehration of. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. As in years past, Wendy and Robert Weinberg lent their theater to the celebration.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Weinberg referred to being Jewish and spoke about an empathy between Blacks and Jews “rooted in a common heritage” of oppression, slavery and struggle for freedom. He cited the Book of Exodus as a common source of inspiration.
He won enthusiastic applause, in keeping with the harmonious mood of the event.
