Referee class scheduled

April Kite Fly slated
The annual Ben Venue Kite Fly has been scheduled for April 17. Volunteers are needed and any interested organizations wishing to set up or participate should contact Heidi Eastham at 675-3444.
Services Board to meet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9 beginning at 1 p.m. at its Bradford Road office in Culpeper.

GED testing planned
If you would like to take the GED test, register at your county school board office. The five-part test is offered every second Friday evening and Saturday morning of the month, with your attendance being recommended for both sessions. Testing on Friday is from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost for taking the GED test is $35. Upon successful completion a State of Virginia diploma will be issued in your name. Call 825-0476 and ask for Malcolm Davis, GED Examiner for information.
Karate classes underway
Shorin-Ryu Okinawan karate classes are currently underway at Ki Theatre in Washington. Classes will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for juniors and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for adults. Spring Soccer registration slated
The Rappahannock County Soccer League announces that Spring soccer registration will take place in February. There will be two on-site registrations at Rappahannock County Elementary School on Feb. 6 and 13 from 9 a.m. until noon. For more information call Sara Lawrey at 675-1781.
Soccer coach training set
E certificate instruction will be offered Feb. 12, 13 and 14 at Highland School in Warrenton. This class is designed for U-10 and U-12 coaches. New and experienced coaches are encouraged to attend. The cost varies with club memberships. Call Susan Huff at 347-4775 for more information.
Items sought for donation drive
The Washington Baptist Church is having a Spring Event Donation Drive and welcomes any donations or help from the public. A silent auction, yard sale, bake sale and hamburger/hot dog sale will be held in conjunction with the Fodderstack Classic 10K race on Saturday, April 24.
