of Culpeper and Betty Anne Compton of Warrenton and four sons, James Edward Compton, Ray Thomas Compton and Jack Marion Compton, all of Castleton and Harold Richard Compton of Amissville.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Roberta Smith of Castleton and Mary Mitchell of Charlottesville; 12 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Marion Compton; a son, John Davis Compton; two sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services were held Jan. 31 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. L.D. Savage and Rev. Carl D. Menefee officiating.

Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery. 1
