Andrew Flagel, Dean of Admissions at George Mason University, says that while students have until January to complete many applications, they should aim to have them in to their chosen schools by Thanksgiving.
Getting the application in early is especially imperative at his school where he says students hoping for scholarship money should send in their applications by Dec. 1, more than a month prior to the official Jan. 15 deadline.
