But more importantly, he said, they possess something extra which is lacking in simple photography.
“Photographs are more accurate but these pictures have more soul to them. I tried to capture the soul of the community and I think they do that,” he said.
And the community itself is something which is just as important to this longtime artist. Tepper is currently president of Rappahannock’s Lions Club as well as a representative on the County Planning Commission.
