Sherertz for Sheriff rallies

The public is cordially invited to meet with Larry Sherertz, incumbent candidate for Sheriff of Rappahannock County, at an informal gathering on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Amissville Fire Hall and Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Castleton Fire Hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. Sheriff Sherertz will meet with attendees, discuss his agenda and answer questions. Refreshments will be served

Butler for Sheriff rally

Steve Butler, candidate for Rappahannock County Sheriff, will be at the Arfiissville Volunteer Fire Department to meet community residents on Sept. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Complementary food will be served. Butler will address guests at 6 p.m. A question and answer period will follow.

Cub Scout registration

Cub Scout registration and school night will be held Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Rappahannock County Elementary School cafeteria. Artists ’ reception

An opening reception for Thomas DePree and Carin DePree will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Packing Shed Gallery on the corner of Gay and Porter Streets in Washington. These brother and sister artists will be blending his paintings and her ceramics in their first joint show which will run through Sept. 29.
