clones nas Deen a member of the Lions Club of Fauquier in Marshall for 39 years serving three terms as its President. He has also held all other offices in his club except for those of secretary and treasurer. Some of these he has held more than one term.

In 1997, he was named Lion of the Year and in 2001 he received the Lions of Virginia Foundation Humanitarian Award. From 1998 to 2000, he was zone chairman and from 2000 to 2002, he was District Bland Memorial Music Scholarship chairman. He served District 24-A as Vice District Governor during the 2002-2003 Lions Year.

Lions International awarded Jones the Lions Clubs International Key Member Award for sponsoring 15 new ; members. He attended the ; International Convention in : 2001 and 2003.

Jones has also served as i chairman of the Fauquier j County Transportation Com- i

mittee, member of the j Fauquier County Supervisors j Development Advisory 3 Committee, a member of the i State Police Advisory Com- I

mittee, chairman of Aid j Association for Lutherans, and as a trustee of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. He was named Scott District f Citizen of the Year by the j Board of Supervisors in 2002. \

He retired from the ] Department of Defense after j 37 years Of service. He and his j wife Judy, a retired teacher, j have three children and four grandchildren, all of whom make their home in Fauquier Countv.
