Additional survivors include one brother, H. Bruce Brown of Woodville, one sister, Bonnie H. Brown of Germantown, Md., two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sept. 3 at Sperryville Cemetery with Rev. Phil Bailey officiating.
Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 330.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr Brown’s name to Hospice of the Rapidan, P. O. Box 1715, Culpeper, Va. 22701.

Roberta Frieda Gross, 90 of Boston died Aug. 30 at Autumn Care of Madison.
Mrs. Gross was bom Dec. 18, 1912 in Curtisville, Pa. to the late Max Millian and Amelia Yeager Millian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Gross.
Mrs. Gross is survived by her daughter, Karen G. Thornhill of Boston.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Mission, Washington with Father DeMartino officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p m. in Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, Md. with Father Amy officiating.
