The best known plays of George Bernard Shaw, the foremost dramatist of the 20th century, are probably “Saint Joan,” for which he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1925, and “Pygmalion,” which eventually metamorphosed into “My Fair Lady.”
But Shaw wrote scores of brilliant, biting, and witty plays throughout his 94 years — plays which continue to be performed to the delight of audiences throughout the world.
One of these, “The Apple Cart,” will be produced at the Theatre at Washington, Virginia, by the students of the Mask and Bauble Society of Georgetown University.
