Resolution Whereas, William Hurlbert Young, Jr. of Washington, Virginia died on the 8th day of January 2004; and Whereas, William H. Young was instrumental in the formation of this Association and has been a long standing member of our board of directors and has been of inestimable value to the work of our Association, especially the movie program; and Whereas, his warm personal friendship, willing assistance, candor and guidance have been invaluable to the Association, itself, as well as to the individual members of the board; and Whereas, his many contributions to our community have earned him the highest respect and friendship of his many friends and associates; and Whereas, his untimely death constitutes and irreplaceable loss to this Association and to the community and it is most fitting and proper that we should express our heartfelt and deep sense of personal loss and'in some spiall way express our deep sympathy to his widow and children; Now, therefore be it resolved that the Board of Directors of The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community in it’s regular meeting assembled, do hereby unanimously express it’s deep sense of personal loss at the passing from our midst of our friend and wise counselor William Hurlbert Young, Jr. and to express to his widow and children our deepest sympathy in their bereavement; and Be it further resolved that the president of this Association communicate a copy of this resolution to Mrs. Young and that a copy hereof be published in the Rappahannock News.
