But Don Keyser will never retire from music. “I play for pleasure,” he says, “I never expected to make much money from it.”
When you are young and learning the picking and the fiddling, he says, “you got to love it dearly. You got to take the time to get your fingers sore.”
He learned from the older men, and picked up his favorites— they’ve been with him over the years: “Lost Indian”; “Turkey In The Straw”; “Down Yonder”; “Ragtime Annie.”
Those and many more will be on stage Saturday night.
