We are writing in response
to the Dec. 15 article in the Rappahannock News citing the Board of Supervisors’ reasons for voting to pave a portion of Grimsley Road.
It makes very little sense to pave a road as a future alternative school bus route and for future development when there are projects in the here and now that need doing.
The Board of Supervisors is worried about the county’s school buses travel now? Why spend money on Grimsley Road when no children who attend public school even live on the road and there is a dangerous “S” turn with an 18.36 percent grade? This turn is already paved and the paving does not make it less steep or improve the sight distance.
Mr. Estes says the paving is for the future and land
