Flower arranging classes offered
The Rappahannock County Garden Club is : again offering classes in basic flower arranging to : any interested resident. Classes will be offered on Wednesday mornings beginning January 23 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church Parish 1 Hall. Participants -- beginners or experienced • arrangers - will supply their own flowers and containers and will learn the principles of design by making individual arrangements each week under the direction of Linda Taylor. Piedmont Softball
Association’s register
Area girls are invited to register now for Piedmont Softball Association's 2008 spring fastpitch / softball season! All players are welcome, regardless of level of experience and skills - from beginners to advanced. Besides lots of regular season games (both on PSA's home field located on Rt. 211 in Amissville and away), other activities will include pitching clinics, tournaments (PSA is proud to have produced a number of district and state championship softball teams in recent years), home run and RBI hitting awards, and so much more. Offered for parents, as well, will be score keeping, umpire, and coaching clinics. Accepted will be ANY girls bom from 1989 through 2002. Registration foes are $40.00 for girls playing on any teams 12 years old or younger, and $45.00 for older players; $5.00 discount for second and additional registrants from the same household. Scholarships are also available.
Formal registrations will be held Sunday, February 10, from noon until 3 pm and Saturday, February 16, from 9 am - noon (with additional dates to follow) at Bill Payne Auction Gallery, Rt. 211 and Maddox Lane, Amissville.
