Rappahannock’s Black History
On Friday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m., the Second Friday at the Library Series sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will feature a showing of the film “Come Day, Go Day, God Sent Sunday" about the African American community here in Rappahannock in the 1970s. Held at the Rappahannock County Library.

Auditions for Fauquier Community Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music will be held at 4260 Sigler Drive in Vint Hill, Warrenton, on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Call backs will be on Feb. 10 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 16 bars of a song not from Sound of Music. Baptist Church Variety Show
The Twelfth Annual Washington Baptist Church Variety Show will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p. m., at the Theatre at Washington. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR will hold their Saturday, Feb. 9, meeting at the Culpeper County Library. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. The program “George Washington" will be presented by Mrs. Pat Lattin. The Chapter is made up of members from Rappahannock, Culpeper and Madison Counties.
