The perfect fit
For David Grossmann, career satisfaction is all about finding the right fit. He started his career in the restaurant business but later switched to the health care field because he wanted to help people. Now, as a physical therapist in our PM&R Outpatient Department, David enjoys helping our orthopedic patients on their journey back to normal function.
"I like working with orthopedic patients because I understand how difficult the healing process can be for these patients,” David says. “I once injured my back, and at the time I wondered whether I would ever be able to work again. So I understand the mindset."
Prior to joining Fauquier Health in 2006, David was an outpatient physical therapy manager for 13 years at a health system in Maryland. He enjoyed the job but chose to leave because of the long commute.
"I wanted to spend more time with my family,” David says. “But the job search ended up taking about 10 years because I also wanted to wait for the right fit. Fauquier Health turned out to be the perfect fit for me.”
