The competitions started on Friday and the awards ceremony was on Sunday and when it was all said and done the middle school chapter came home with seven top 10 finishes and one trophy. Jessica Shaw won second place for technical writing. The topic for technical writing was the economic impact of increasing world population.
The following students were top 10 finishers - Peyton Bailey - prepared speech, communication challenge, career challenge and part of the medical technology contest; Britt Hippie - technology bowl (written) and technology bowl (oral); Case Kramer - technology bowl (oral); Matt Lombardi - technology bowl (oral); Carolyn Vickers - technical writing and medical technology; and Allie Yowell - medical technology.
