“The committee has done a good job of thinking about what people want to do,” continued Settle. And that is, primarily, an “oldfashioned” picnic type event to enjoy the day and spend with family and friends they both said.
There is also the opportunity for civic and nonprofit groups to set up vending sites for fund raising (they will be the only vendors at the event.)
This is also a major fund- raiser for the fire dept - the other fund-raising event is the annual carnival which is currently at the Sperryville Fire Hall through Sunday.
