Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, Substance Abuse Services has a full-time position opening for a Clinician to work in the Adult Detention Center as part of a mufti-disciplinary team, to include correctional staff, medical staff and other treatment staff. Responsible for substance abuse evaluation and treatment services to adults incarcerated in the Adult Detention Center; maintenance of ail clinical records and documentation according to federal, state and agency policies/ procedures. Must be knowledgeable in both substance abuse and mental health issues, demonstrate strong clinical skills in providing individual, group and family substance abuse therapy, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to function as a member of a ciimcal team. Work schedule will include MondayFriday with evening hours 2 nights per week. Requires Master s degree in social work, psychology or related field and two years professional experience in mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. Virginia clinical licensure or license eligible. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of cnminal background, credit, driving record checks and TB test.
