NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO ADOPT SEWER ORDINANCE AMENDMENT

KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a public hearing on the 10th day of June, 2009, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall of Washington, Virginia on the advisability of adopting an amendment to §106 subparagraph (A) of the Sewer Ordinance to provide that the deadline for filing easements and applications to be part of the first phase of the sewer system project and to remain an Existing User shall be fixed from time to time by Town Council by resolution. Council will further consider an initial resolution to fix such penod as the effective date of the first such resolution and also to be extended for any properties which may be later included in Phase I of the Sewer Service District for a penod ending 15 days from their inclusion. A complete copy of the proposed sewer ordinance amendment is available at the town offices during normal business hours. Ail are invited to attend the pubic hearing at the time and place aforesaid and present their views. The hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person with questions on the accessibility to the facility should contact the Town Clerk by telephone at 540-675-3128.
