The new venue isn’t the only change for the games this year.
“We've added a Saturday night concert," Wright said. And not just any concert — the event will feature the City of Washington Pipe Band, one of only a few Grade 1 rated pipe bans in the country, ho said.
After kicking off the concert for festival-goers, the pipe band will walk over to the Great Meadow polo arena to open its 7 p m. game with a performance, Wright said, noting that the festival concert will run from 6-8 pin. and that the polo match will be open to those attending the festival.
“We hope to get between 10.000 and 12,000 people," Wright said of attendance at the two-day festival, noting that in the 1990s it drew as manv as 15.000 to 20,0(K) people each year.
