The Rappahannock Farmers' Co-op, in its new location five years, celebrated with its annual anniversary sale August 17 and 18. Customers came in carloads to hear the music, enjoy inexpensive hot dogs and beverages and view or buy reduced-price items. Gordon Thornhill, co-op manager since 1968 and employee since '62, attributes success to “prices, services to patrons and stretching out to other counties."
