In spite of the rain Saturday, the Washington Volunteer Fire Department ham and oyster dinner turned out to be a success with some 145 people feasting on oysters, ham, with side dishes and desserts.
Some were looking for Ann Spieker’s special homemade moon pies. According to Spieker, she was so busy , helping getting everything . line up for the dinner, time got away from her.
She is going to try and make them for the dinner they are planning to have in February'.
