‘Revels’
Julia Hendren, 10, daughter of Kendra and Pat Hendren of Castleton, was chosen from among 50 young auditioners to be in this year's “Washington Revels" at Lisner Auditorium next month.
Hendren, who is homeschooled and a frequent participant in Belle Meade School activities, will have a singing and dancing part in the Children’s Chorus in this year’s “Revels," the 27 th annual installment of the popular annual Christmas show.
“Right now, rehearsals are every Wednesday night at Revels headquarters,” said Kendra Hendren, who said the cast works gradually up to nightly rehearsals the week before the shows.
Julia’s older brother Jake, 13, her mother said, also successfully auditioned for a part three years ago in the “Revels” - which this year offers eight shows on weekends from Dec. 5 through 13.
