Phe SperryviUe and Washington school buildings . were sold at public auction Saturday with the sale subject to approval by the School Board and Circuit Court. At the regular meeting of the School Board held Tuesday night, the sale of the SperryviUe property was approved and that of the Washington property was rejected and must be resold The Spenyville school building and land was sold to Clifford Miller III for $13,600. This has been approved.
Douglas Bywaters of Flint Hill has assumed the duties of Maintenance Superintendent of the Virginia Department of Highways in Rappahannock County. He has been employed ' with the department for eight years and fills the vacancy by the retirement of M. H. Brady, which becomes official in January.
