Starke. Starke and his wife, Elizabeth Botts, purchased the parcel of land now known as Mont Medi in 1838. Capt. and Mrs. Starke lived on the property until their deaths with ownership transferring to Cornelius Randolph Hite Sr., and Elizabeth C. Starke Hite who continued the farming operations. C. R.
