Jessie Miller Smith Clarke, age 86, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009. Jessie worked for the clerk 's office, Circuit Court of Fairfax County. She also was active with the Fairfax County Retirees Association. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Amos and Birtha Jane Smith and her loving husband, Flammond L. Clarke. Survivors include stepdaughter, Martha Jeanne Chipwalt, nieces and nephews; Mary Ann Botkin and her husband, Gerald, Kenneth .Andrew Smith and his wife, Clar; Roy Schurtz and his wife, Joan; Stanley Schurtz and his wife, Susan; Danny Hitt and his wife, Linda; Donald Hitt and his wife, Sandra. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudlev Road, Manassas, VA 20109. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy. , Falls Church, VA 22042 In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Operation Smiles, 6435 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA 23509 or Medi Home Health & Hospice, 9625 Surveyor Court, Suite 230.
