Lottie Aylor recently found a surprise in Mrs. W. M. Fletcher’s garden to add to the Thanksgiving meal. Aylor picked about a pint of butter beans, and they will make a fine addition to the dinner. “Lottie is a garden wizard, and she can raise and find things in the garden that no one knows are there,” said Mrs. Fletcher. Aylor also operates a catering business with her daughter, Charlotte.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bachi of WoodviHe discovered an appropriate note in their backyard on Nov. 15. the day of the Great American SmokeOut. A postcard, tied to a balloon that had burst and fallen onto their lawn, read: “1 don’t like smoking because it kills-you and gives you cancer.
