Person to
remember
When William A. Buntin left our world Nov. 21 at the age of 94, he left behind a void. For those who didn't know him personally, it may only be through a reading of the old newspapers in our library that one would get some idea of how much he contributed to the community - as a V irginia State Trooper for nearly three decades, and sheriff of our beautiful county for two terms. In the early days, he was the only trooper assigned here, and was responsible for law and order countywide. We at the Rappahannock News will miss his visits to the office and seeing him walk to the post office each day. When he retired from the Sheriff’s Office, we remember the photographs taken in the courthouse, and the proud smile on his face. We would like to remember him that way always.

Dick Cheney’s possible run for president and any focus on U.S./India relations.
