the world for ages and want nothing more than to be treated the same as straight military members. As we write, gay men and lesbians are shedding their blood in Iraq and Afghanistan to defend our country and the First Amendment right of people like Mr. Cordani to publish his opinion piece. What a cruel irony. The same men and women he believes shouldn’t serve — or. worse yet. who should sen e as second class soldiers — are dying on foreign battlefields to protect his right to deride their service and tell them they are not worthy.
While history is bound to repeat itself, lagotrv shouldn't be recycled in any form.
