Tentative highway allocations for 12 months beginning July 1 announced Friday by the Depart ment of Highways provide funds for three separate projects on Route 15 in Prince Edward. Buck ingham and Charlotte counties. The allocations also earmark funds, foi primary system work on Route FO in Cumberland; Route 360 ;n Prince Edward and Amelia counties. Route 47 in Charlotte, and Route 522 in Powhatan. The. e projects are included in Slate and federal funds totaling $105,112,997 for the 12 months on Virginia's interstate and pri mary highway- and town and city b< ginning July 1 for construction streets which are part oi a high way. The total includes $54 millions which Virginia »xpects to receive as its share of federal-aid money to be used in the next 12 months for the interstate highway system. Local Work The Route 15 project include one in Prince Edward county for which $70,000 is allotted to put asphaltic concrete surfacing from Kingsville southward Another Route 15 project In Buckingham has an allocation of $150,494 for reconstruction be tween Sprouses Corner and Shep pards. The third Route 15 project is designated for Charlotte coun ty. where $100,000 is allocated to reconstruct the highway between Barnes Junction and the Meck lenburg county line. The three Route 15 projects will require total of $320,494. rhe Route I e< C up berland county allocates $75,000 for improvements at Cumberland Court House. Work at Wcherrin Route 360 has two projects in the 1957-58 work. One. in Prince Edward county, has an allocation of $475,000 to continue recon struction from Mererrin westward. The other, for $180,160 provides a supplemental project for recon struction from West Richmond into Amelia. Charlotte county work on Route 47 has two separate projects, one is allocated $75,000 to continue reconstruction between Drakes Branch and Route 360. The other allots $50,000 for curb and gutter at Charlotte C. H. A single Powhatan county has an allocation of $35,000 to relo cate two reverse curves on Route J22 north of Route 60.
