Wynne Conducts Education Study A national study of the experience desirable for new teachers is being conducted by a Farmville man. Dr. John P. Wynne, professor of education at Longwood College, is chairman of an Association of Col leges for Teacher Education com mittee which is studying the prob lem. Other committee members come from New York, Michigan and | North Carolina. Two years ago the association and the Philosophy of Education society ! began the study, which is now being | reviewed by a group of educational philosophers and teacher education specialists. Eventually plans call for distri | bution of the study findings to edu j cation schools. ! Wynne attended an ACTE cqnven j tion recently in Chicago. He also ! represented the American Philo ! sophical association at a meeting of [the co-ordinating committee of col lege problems of teacher educa tion, a committee composed of n 'representatives of national orgam ; rations interested in teachers edu cation. Wynne presented material on ac creditation at the meeting.
