He taught in Wyth county schools for 11 years before he became a prin cipal. Bustinger served as president of District 1. Virginia Education As sociation. and as executive secre tary-treasurer of the State De partment of Secondary School Principals. He graduated from tlie College of William and Mary in 1930. took additional work at the University of Virginia, and received a masters degree from Columbia University m 1941.
