President Achmed Soekarno has fallen for the bait of the Reds Last summer he was a guest of both Russia and China 'also the United States' and the Reds evidently con vinced him the only way to bring unity and cohesion to the adminis tration of Indonesian affairs was to abandon the system of different po litical parties—the western concept of the democratic process. Recently, the President has called for a one-party movement, so to speak, which would include the Communists. Most of the Army, and many Indonesians on some of the key islands, will net accept the ad mission of Reds into the govern ment, as the President would. It was only a couple of years ago that the Reds tried, by force, to take over the country and many bitter anti-Reds are inflexible on this is sue. as they should be.
