Festival of Music To Be May 10,1112 The most anticipated occasion of the Glee Club is always die Spring Festival of Muse to be held this year May 10. 1!;. and 12. The Mary Washington College Glee Club will join the HfS group. The presentation will be the "El ijah" by Felix Mendelssohn. The first of the three 'perform ances of tlie Festival will be given at Mary Washington College on Friday evening. The oraiorio will be given on the H-S campus on Saturday evening at 8:00 in Gammon Gymnasium. This par ticular concert will be a fitting and eventful climax to tljie festiv ities of Parents’ and Fritjnds Day to be held at that time at H-S. The third performance of the "El ijah" will be given at Richmond on Sunday evening. May! 12. In its entirety the work requires two and j a half hours. However, to facilitate its ease in handling, only two hours of the work are planned! foi the May concerts. Presently. She is giving a [series of concerts at the Metropolitan Mu seum of Art. She is alsoj a lead ing soloist m New York phurches and is in Philadelphia |a music consultant for the Franklin In stitute. She is especially recogniz ed among Hampden-Sydney stu dents for her part in j Haydn's "Creation" given tut campus last year. Mr. Robert Falk, bass also :s returning for the Festival after having taken part in the "Crea tion" last year.
