Will Honor Miss Hite
On Friday, June 16, between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m., at “Thornton Hill,” the home of Mrs. William Meade Fletcher at Sperry%ille, friends of Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite will entertain at a complimentary party honoring Rappahannock’s new authoress, in recognition of her recent publication, “My Rappahannock Story Book, ’ which is just off the press.
The county community is invited to honor Miss Dolly Hite on the occasion of the publication of her book.
“My Rappahannock Story
Book” Is Off Press
Cards have been received in the county announcing that “My Rappahannock Story Book,” by Mary Elizabeth Hite, is off the press.
The publishers announce that Miss Hite’s new book contains many intimate stories, anecdotes, romances and much hitherto unpublished material on the old homes and families of Rappahannock county. It has been one of the neglected counties in Vriginia history, so the Hite story book may prove to be one basis of intensive research in the future.
