Mary Lou Campbell of Huntly' won the county medal in canning and will represent Rappahannock County in the Area Contest.
Flint Hill 4-H club met Monday, December 3. Sarah Flythe began the meeting by leading the group, in 4-H songs and “Jingle Bells.” During business meeting the groupexchanged names for Christmas. Sarah Flythe gave a falk on wrapping of Christmas packages. Pauline Nethers will be in charge of January program. Project work for December was on making cookies for Christmas. The following girls made their favorite cookies for the other members to taste and gave their recipe; Sarah 'Flythe, oatmeal cookies; Paula Miller, ice cream wafers; Mrs. Frank Cary, ice box cookies. Mrs. Frank Cary, leader, told the girls about decorating cookies especially for Christmas.
Miss Corrie Scroggins is going to be 4-H leader for Washington Sr. and Washington Jr. 4-H clubs.
