In Front Royal, Dec. 17
The Front Royel Music Study Club has announed that Bridgewater Glee Club will present the Christmas portion of Handel's "The Messiah” on Monday night, December 17, at 6 p.m. The program will be directed by Dr. Nelson T. Huffman.
The Bridgewater College Glee Club is an organization of long and prominent standing, having traveled extensively throughout the East, singing for church, school and community organizations. Critics have acclaimed the fine choral tone of this group, calling attention to the deep resonance of the men’s voices and the detached, floating of the sopranos, "which in its purity and sweetness, is ethereal.” Dr. Huffman, a singer of distinction himself, well understands the training of these talented young people, and is responsible for their admirable choral technique.
