The annual “Miss Carver” contest wll end Friday, January 25, ■when one of th« following ybung ladies will be crowned “Miss Carver of 1352": Misses Fannie Johnson, Bessie Robinson, Catherine Jones, 'Virginia Christian, Gladys Jones, Doris Clore, Anne Fletcher, Delores Bridgett, Ruby Lightfoot and Bertha Walker.
The queen will reign over the Crowning Ball, which will foe given in her honor. Music for the dance by F. E. Jones and band will add to the festivities. \
Dance time is 8 p.m. in the Carver Gym.
Mrs. Bettie Crusoe, formerly of Woodville, died Wednesday and was buried in Washington, D. C. Saturday, January 19. Those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Wallace, Mrs. Ruth (Smith, and Mrs. Sadie Jones.
